I'm trying to get a home equity loan. When I bought my home in 2006, it was valued at $120,000. My bank did an online appraisal today and it's valued at $91,633. The loan processor asked me if I wanted to have someone sent to my home to do a full appraisal (for $300). What are the chances of the online appraisal's assessment being incorrect? Is there a chance that my home is worth more than $91,633 if I get a full appraisal? Thanks for your help.

I currently have my bachelor's in HR, but I'm contemplating a career change to IT. The problem is, IT has many career options and I don't know which path to take. It's a non-profit for girls 6th-8th grade. The pregnancy rate for this age level in my town (pop. 25,000) is growing at an alarming rate; the drop-out rate among them is also high. I want to inspire young girls to go to college and become successful- stay off of welfare, be independent. I'm tired of people talking about women on welfare/single parents and not doing anything about it . It's time for me to take action. It's time to mentor on the front lines. I have everything but a name :) Thanks!

I was on the internet this morning, and I almost had a anger-induced stroke from the anonymous, hateful comments submitted. Alot of the comments submitted had nothing to do with the topic being discussed. For example, the forum topic was about Kanye West's new album and there were so many racist comments accusing minorities of being the downfall of American music and how minorities have caused America to become a welfare state and now "everything sucks". I'm sure the creator of the forum just wanted to know if we liked the friggin' album. What baffles me most about internet racists is that they could be anyone you or I know! People walking around happy and stable on the outside, with troubled and angry hearts. And with the amount of anger spewing from those comments,it makes me wonder- is that the general consensus among our youth?? What affect will it have on our society? Someone please shed some light on the matter...

I saw some education programs, but some required a teaching certificate, which I don't have. Strayer University offers a program like this, but is not offered in my state:

I'll try to be as descriptive as possible. I open my eyes and I feel this dry heat on my face. I'm in some kind of a building with tall columns and these large purple and red rectangular flags flowing in the breeze. Two if the flags open and through them I see thousands of people on their knees in the sand (I guess we're in the desert?). I slowly walk down this stone walkway and I'm holding a long golden staff with an eagle at the tip of the staff; the eagle's wings are spread wide. I walk down to the end of the walkway and I look up into the sun. I raise the staff up so that the eagle is in front of the sun and I hold it there for a while. I look towards the people and they are now bowing. It is so quiet. What does this dream mean? This dream felt so real that when I woke up, my heart was beating fast and I was still hot.

My husband and I are Christians. After being active members of a small baptist church for 5 yrs, we decided to stop going. There were many reasons that lead to this decision: we were the youngest members there; we're in our late 20's, early 30's, the other members were 50 yrs old and older. They thought we were babies and we thought their ideas were a bit dated. I constantly received gifts of pantyhose and long skirts (I guess they didn't like my clothing choices, even though I dress conservatively). Plus, the only deacon there was very arrogant and didn't act very Christ-like most of the time. Because of these reasons, my husband has a negative view of organized religion and doesn't believe that you have to belong to a church in order to be a Christian. My interpretations of the Bible is that God wants us to belong to a church. What do you think?
