For those who voted for Obama: Which category do you fit into?
1) True believers who want a powerful, totalitarian state that enforces fairness by confiscating property from one American and giving it to another, and that provides all basic needs for every American so that noone suffers.
2) People who don’t really care what Obama does or says, and just like him because they think it makes them cool.
3) Other (please define)

It clearly says Jesus was equal to God, but humbled himself to become a man.

5 réponsesVideo & Online Gamesil y a 1 décennieWas my car possessed? Can cars be possessed?
True Story:
When leaving work the other day, I cranked my car up, but noting I was tired I decided to take a short nap (I have a 45 min commute during which I have dozed off before while driving). I turned the car off, removed the keys from the ignition, and closed my eyes. I slept for about thirty minutes, awoke, and tried to start my car. It was dead! The dash lights, interior lights, radio would come on, but it didn't even try to crank up. I found someone to jump me off, drove home (45 mins), and went to my kid's daycare to pick them up. While there, I left the car running. When I left, I got no more than 100 yards before my car died on me while driving. Again, the lights, dash, radio all worked, but the car would not even think about turning over. Again, I got a jump and it cranked right up. I drove home, left the car running and went inside. I came out maybe 20 minutes later and the car was not running... it had died. I called a friend to give me a hand. I wanted him to give me a jump and then to follow me to get a new battery. The battery would not jump...It was dead completely. So we decided to remove it and buy a new one.
While we were working on taking the battery out, a SUV drove by and as soon as it came beside us, its car alarm went off. They braked a little but then continued to drive off as the alarm continued! They drove about a quarter of a mile, turned a corner, and the alarm continued to blare even after they were out of sight! My friend thought they were being rude, but I joked that maybe my car was possessed and it left my car and went into their car.
I changed the battery and havent had any problems since, so I hope that was the problem... But you never know...
6 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieAtheists: If God/Yaweh showed himself or gave you proof, what then? How would your life change?
Not talking about having a conversation, but if he made a huge mountain, then turned it to gelatin, and then made it float over a sign that read "I did this. - God" in every known language... undeniable proof... What then?
Would you obey him, submit to his will, love him?
28 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieCan your emotions be controlled AT ALL?
Do you have ANY choice in how you feel/emote?
3 réponsesPsychologyil y a 1 décennieDo you agree with this: "Behavior can be controlled in a way that emotions cannot."?
If so, then do you believe we have no choice in who we love or hate? So you don't choose to love God? You dont choose to hate him either... it just happens? What makes you love/hate someone then? Do you believe in falling in and out of love?
5 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieChristians: Why do you love God?
The atheists are arguing that putting the tree in the garden was cruel. I am not asking you to question/defend God's actions, but think about them and the things He could have done differently as you answer the initial question: WHY do you love God?
20 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieDo you love your parents? Why or Why Not?
14 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieAtheists: How would you have done the Genesis story if you were God?
I hear all the complaints about the logic and the cruelty of God: "putting a gun in a crib" metaphors, cant be all-knowing and all-loving, etc.
So how would you do it? If you were God and wanted to create something that freely loved you and wasnt forced/bribed into it... How would you do it? How would what you do differently change the world today?

5 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieHelp me understand the argument: "Since bad things happen, there is no God"?
I dont understand why people keep asking questions like "How can you say there is a God when people die in a tsunami or get trampled in Wal-Marts?" How does bad things...tragic things...happening disprove the existence of God?
21 réponsesReligion & Spiritualityil y a 1 décennieWhere does the duckbill platypus fit into the evolutionary scene?
Seems like God threw in a wild card or exception to the rules.... Your thoughts?
Granted, I have only seen pictures of one, so it may be like the unicorn and mermaid... and not exist at all.
