My 5 year old son is going to be a zombie fireman. Any tips for his costume? All he has is a fireman raincoat and some basic black rubber boots. I have makeup to get the zombie look, but am wanting a little extra pizazz.

My 3 month old has many of the symptoms of teething, but no swollen gums. Could this still be teething?

I'm interested to hear some other moms stories/experiences with their tongue tied baby. Mine is almost 8 weeks old now and has a hard time breastfeeding, so I have to suppliment him with formula twice a day.

I had my first baby July 14. Things started out very well, he feeds well and is a good healthy size. The first few days home from the hospital were fairly easy, he would go to sleep in my arms after eating and I would put him in his crib where he would sleep, sometimes until the next feeding. Fast forward about a week and a half, and he didn't have a single waking moment where he wasn't either eating or crying. This is the way he still is today. My doctor told me to try cutting dairy out of my diet, which I have done, and I bought a gas remedy also. The first day I gave him the gas remedy (about 5 days ago) he was like a completely different baby, he was awake for over an hour without crying. The gas remedy doesn't seem to be working anymore though and he is back to crying all the time. If anyone has any experience with a baby like this I would love to hear your story/advice. in case anyone is wondering, I am breastfeeding on demand.

We just moved into a basement suite June 1 and have had rat droppings on the kitchen counters the last 2 mornings and tonight when we came into the house we actually saw it run under the couch and then into the bathroom. We found a small hole in the bathroom behind the washing machine where it's probably getting in and out. There were lots of droppings there as well. Since we just moved in should the landlord be taking money off the rent? I really don't want to live with a rat in the house, we are trying to catch it but it's too late to buy a trap anywhere.

My boyfriend of 2 and a half years recently got an IM from his ex. She asked him to go out for coffee on Wednesday, which he told me and when I asked if he was going to go he said probably. Her reasoning was to "catch up", but I feel as though they have nothing to catch up on. They weren't in a serious relationship, they weren't great friends beforehand and he dumped her after only a month or two together. We already had a huge fight about this around 6 months ago, which was the last time she tried to get him to go out to coffee, and I made my views on it very clear. I'm so worried that he's just going so he can see if he's missing out on anything. Something that complicates the situation more is that I am 9 months pregnant and he hasn't told most of his friends, so I feel like he must be embarassed of me or something. Someone please say something to make me feel better. I can't stop thinking about it. What would you tell him if you were me?

I'm looking for a travel system (car seat and stroller) where the stroller is a jogger (3wheel) with a front wheel that swivels, does anyone know of any? I live in Canada, so it has to be something available here.

I just started working full time when I was 28 weks pregnant (i am now 30 weeks). The last job I had was full time and I quit back in september. I will not get enough hours from this current job to qualify for maternity benefits, but have been led to believe that it's ALL your hours from the last 52 weeks that they take into consideration. Dose this mean I should still qualify? Even though this job will give me a max of 500 when I need 600? Please don't just give me the government website, I've already read it over and over again. Also, cana anyone tell me what % of my income I will get while on leave? thanks

A friend of my mom's wants to throw me a baby shower! woohoo! Anyways, I was wondering if there's anything I need to do? Is it essential to register somewhere, or can I just let everyone pick out what they want to get? There are 3 people who I would love to be there but I'm not sure if she will invite them, is there any way to bring this up, or to ask my mom to? The people are my best friend, my step mom and my boyfriend's mom, it's not like they are just mere aquantances or anything like that but people that I really want to be there. Also, she asked me to pick the date and I picked mother's day, is that tacky? thanks in advance for all your advice

I always tell my boyfriend how happy I am to be with him, how much I love him and that I want to be with him forever. He says the same to me, but hasn't proposed. We have been together for just over 2 years and have lived together that whole time (kinda started out as roommates). Things are a little more detailed then that but on only that information do you think he will ever propose?

All my life growing up I was fairly heavy. At 14 I weighed just over 200 pounds. About 1 year later I was down to 130 and maintained there for quite a while. From the time I was 16-19 my weight dipped to 105, and at 5'6" I know that is way too low. I wouldn't let myself eat more then 300 calories a day, and would over estimate the caloric content of everything I ate. If I ate more then 300 calories in a single day then I wouldn't let myself eat at all the next day. I also ran about 5 miles 3-5 mornings a week. Once I met my boyfriend I, for lack of a better word "got better" and started to eat regularly. In 6 months I was back up to 130 lbs, a healthy weight for my height. A year and a half after that I felt huge at 150 lbs, and then just as I was starting to lose the weight (I wanted to get to 130 again) I found out I was pregnant. I have been eating healthy and gaining weight, but am having a hard time mentally with it. Some days I obsess about how great it will be(cont..)

On June 6 2006 (06/06/06) my mom bought a black cat that is simply evil. His name is Poe which I just found out means "Dark Soul". He waits around corners and attacks people with teeth and claws, won't sit on your lap, cuddle, or let you pet him at all. Last week I was standing in the hall talking on the phone and he jumped up and grabbed me around the waist and gave me 2 big deep scratches. This cat is pure evil and he just keeps getting worse. Is it possible that he could have a serious mental disorder? I mean if it can happen in humans then why not in cats too? Are there any really good books to read about feline behavior? I am 6 months pregnant and worried this cat may make me go into early labor! Any tips you have would be much appreciated, thanks!

Any tips or advice? Anyone who planned to have a natural birth but then changed your mind part way through? I'm due on July 3 and planning to have a natural birth but would like to hear some real experiences. Thanks!

I'm 6 months pregnant and barely showing. I need a job really bad to buy some of the things we still need for the baby and to pay off some of our debt. I'm pretty sure that I know how I'll handle it (not tell) but I just want to know what your opinions are? I am in Canada and I already know that I have no legal obligation to tell and that they can't fire me once they find out because that would be against the law. The best supporting comment for my case that I have heard is basically not to tell and when they ask/find out to say that it never came up. I'm not applying for anything great, just a job at a fast food restaurant. Any other advice would be appreciated!

I sent in mine and my boyfriend's income taxes via netfile a few weeks ago. We have both only received part of our return (direct deposit) with the strange part being that they withheld exactly $486 from each of us. Should I be expecting a cheque in the mail for the remaining amount? I also moved since the last time I filed taxes, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Is there anyone out there who's ultrasound was wrong in predicting the gender of their baby? Did you try any of the old wives tales and have them turn out to be right? All the old wives tales say I am having a girl, but the ultrasound says boy. I am not 100% convinced that it wasn't the umbilical cord that I saw on the ultrasound, although the technician seemed really convinced it was a boy. I can hardly wait to have my baby either way, and can't wait to hold him/her. What are your experiences?

Which marks are the timing marks on the cam and the crank? On the cam I noticed a very small hole in between the 4 larger holes and I lined that up with the mark on the timing cover. I pointed the mark on the crank (that wasn't the woodruff key) vertical with the mark on the timing cover.

I woke up this morning with searing pain in my left hip that radiated down my leg and into the small of my back. I was lying on my left side when I woke up and immediately rolled over onto my back with my knees bent which alleviated most of the pain. It hasn't really hurt all day except for a dull ache. I also had quite a few "twitches" in my left knee over the last week. I'm 23 weeks pregnant, and have heard that sciatica can be a problem during pregnancy. I have a doctor appointment next week, but would like to know if anyone here thinks this sounds like sciatica? Do you know what the common treatments are for it? Or do I just have to live with the pain?
