After running patches through the barrel of most rifles, the patches will turn a greenish color if you let them just set there. An the AR, they don't. But, the barrel is chromed lined. Is the chrome lining the reason for this?

I don't want prophecies or predictions. Explain why a country would start the war, and what countries would be fighting. Explain how it would escalate into a world war.

Last week at the rifle range, my buddy and I discovered on the ground a plastic cartridge. He took it home and cleaned it. It stamped 7.62x51. It's a plastic body w/steel head. Is this a new type of practice round? I have never heard of these.

For example, if your outside temperature is 100, you add 30 degrees and your total is 130 degrees. By using a freon chart, you convert the temperature of 130 degrees to a pressure reading of the type of freon your using. So, why 30 degrees?

A buddy of mine is customizing a 10-22. He will replace the stock with a thumb hole wood stock. He will install a .920 bull barrel. He has discovered they are offered a 1:16 and 1:9 twists. What differences do the barrels provide?

The article gave interviews of two families. One had five kids and the other had six. Is it our (the tax payer) responsibility to feed children of parents who cannot afford to have numerous children?

I was watching Dateline and they were discussing the youth killings in Chicago. More kids are killed per year then the number of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan in a year. The LEA confiscates thousands of guns every year. Yet, Chicago had the strictest gun laws.

There are several manufactures developing "self defense" 147 gr hollow points for self defense. These bullets are slower and produce 100 foot pounds less energy. Is there any advantage of these heavier, slower bullets? I don't see any.

I just read on the news that a group desires to have Ronald put on the shelf like Camel Joe and Marlboro Man. When I smoked, I didn't smoke because of some crazy camel or a cowboy endorsed it. I smoked because I enjoyed it. I have never seen a kid eating more because of a clown. I have witnessed parents buying junk food for breakfast on the way to school. I have seen kids drink more soda in a day then I drank all week when I was a kid. When are people going to take responsibility for their own decisions? This is crazy!!!

I read/was told that Germany during WW II had some type of water injection into their engines to make them run better. Is this true? What planes was this done to?
